Julia Sherry at WaterSmart Innovations Conference
The WaterSmart Innovations Conference was held on October 5-7, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Julia Sherry was one of two students to win the poster competition. Julia Sherry is working with VWRRC faculty Luke Juran to pursue an M.S. in Geography and a Master of Public Health degree. The title of her poster is “Perceptions of water services and the introduction of technologies to improve water services in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.” Sherry was funded by University Council on Water Resources (UCOWR), the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), and Virginia Tech to attend the WaterSmart Innovations Conference.
