FY 2021 USGS 104G Water Resources Research Grants Program RFP Now Posted

The fiscal year 2021 Water Resources Research Act Program request for applications was released late last week.  It includes three grant programs:

  1. National Competitive Grants (104g) – Funding Opportunity Number (FON) G21AS00518
  2. Aquatic Invasive Species Competitive Grants  – Funding Opportunity Number (FON) G21AS00520.  These grants are only for work taking place in the Upper Mississippi River basin.  
  3. per-and polyflouroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Competitive Grants – Funding Opportunity Number (FON) G21AS00521

Water Resources Research Act Program grants are administered in cooperation between the US Geological Survey and the Water Resources Research Institutes and Centers.  The Virginia Water Resources Research Center (VWRRC) at Virginia Tech coordinates applications from universities or colleges in Virginia. Applications must be submitted to the VWRRC by June 10, 2021, 5:00 pm EDT, to allow time for the VWRRC to meet the deadlines of the announcements.
